The Anomaly

The Anomaly follows the story of a man from the land of the dead, trying to survive in the land of the living. The mixture of heavy hitting progressive metal and ambient guitar tracks make this album both atmospheric and driving. Each track on the album was written and recorded as if they were a chapter in a book, or an episode of a show. This technique not only provided an immense amount of inspiration, but also makes The Anomaly feel like a cohesive album, despite the differences in genres. While Michael G. Woodley may not be the most technical guitarist, his harmonic, melodic, and rhythmic ideas are clear and presented in creative ways.
